I was taken aback with a judge’s comment on Radio 4 this week - that although court fees have increased by as much as 600% that we should not be concerned because where judgment is granted then the court fees will be collected from the debtor so no problem.
What planet is this judge living on – getting judgment is only part of the process - getting paid is the real problem? If the debtor has delayed paying the debt until judgment is granted then getting payment after judgment will be a problem as they have no concern about reputation or credit score.
So if the debt is over £600 them you need to transfer up the judgment to get execution by High Court Enforcement Officers.
All this time the debtor is getting away with it.
